Fifth Quarter is an arts incubator which supports artists to establish viable arts businesses. It champions the idea that creative professionals can simultaneously pursue innovation as artists and entrepreneurs.
Located at Carclew House in North Adelaide, Fifth Quarter connects artists with enterprise models, networks and business planning skills through a one-on-one coaching and residency program. The program is open to all artists working in any art form however priority is given to artists aged 26 and under.
Carclew has previously had success at the Ruby Awards and in 2014 won the Ruby Award for Community or Regional Impact (over $100,000) for their project called POM POM. While in 2012, Carclew were recognised for their longstanding commitment to support young people in the arts with a Ruby Award for Sustained Contribution by an Organisation or Group.
Now in their 10th year, the Ruby Awards were announced at an industry celebration at Anne & Gordon Samstag Museum of Art on Friday 11 December 2015.
