Although trained as a graphic designer the bulk of Roz's art practice over the past fifteen years has been focused on mosaic projects, a medium she find versatile and challenging.
It’s durability; timeless quality and adaptability to many skill levels make it a popular choice for school art projects. Roz has worked as an Artist in Residence within secondary, primary and adult education contexts. These involvements facilitate both intense student participation and school environment enhancement.
Aside from the work carried out in local primary and secondary schools Roz's experiences include sessional teaching at Sunraysia TAFE taking a mosaic course with aboriginal students, mosaic teacher at Adelaide Central School of Art (Summer Schools) plus SALA week presentations.
Her own studio practice involves concept and construction of mosaic commissions, working directly with architects, designers and private clients. This collaborative process translates well into a school project environment that must include teachers’ parents and students alike.
