ADELAIDE FRINGE

Who: Anne Mayer (ImproNOW)
Show Name: 12th Theatresports(TM) Clash of the Theatre Titans
Show Date: 14, 21, 28 February and 6 March
How has Carclew helped you: “Impro NOW has been going since 2002, having performed and worked in 100s of schools and groups across the state and employed many performers and teachers of improvisation. I’m not sure we would still be here if we had not gotten so much promotion and support from Carclew. They not only enthusiastically promoted our shows and workshops to schools both locally and throughout the South Australia, but were also incredibly personable and supportive throughout the process. We felt very much that they were partnering with us and were genuinely excited to have us on their team. With our Theatresports show entering its 12th consecutive sold out Fringe season, I can only say thank you to everyone!”

Who: Genevieve Dawson-Scott
Show Name: Play Full
Show Date: 12 Feb - 14 March
How has Carclew helped you: “I went to Carclew when I was just a wee thing, doing candle making, cartooning, paint workshops and pretty much everything! So you could definitely say that it was part of my arts education and love of making! My show is about play for adults, as a nourishing experience, and the experience of all of your senses. It is definitely linked with the playful nature of art we are encouraged with as a child. I have also worked for Carclew at Pom Pom, which I adore!”

Who: Alex De Porteous
Show Name: Outside the Box
Show Date: 13 and 14 Feb
How has Carclew helped you: “Carlew has helped me fund the production of my show 'Outside the Box'. Without the support I received my final product, a 60min Cabaret show about the impact of social media on young people, would not have been possible. The funding I received has helped in both the development of my show and me as a young performer. With the knowledge and skills I have gained from the experience I have confidence in my career as a performer."
