School Holiday workshops – Weaving & Dreaming

Weaving and Dreaming, School Holiday Workshops

As part of the 2019 Tarnanthi festival, artists Cedric Varcoe (Ngarrindjeri/Narunnga) and Carly Dodd (Ngarrindjeri/Kaurna/Narunnga) present Dreaming storytelling and weaving workshops in the Art Pod at the City of Adelaide.

Participants will have the opportunity to try out customary and contemporary weaving techniques using natural and dyed materials to create woven baskets to take home. Be inspired by connection, the stunning mural (pictured) created by Cedric and Carly for the Intrinsic exhibition, exploring their connection to country and involvement in intergenerational sharing.

Listen, yarn, learn, weave, enjoy!
