Welcome to our EOI page for Carclew's various professional development and artist opportunities
Carclew is the peak body operating in the youth arts sector in South Australia. We work with young people aged 26 years and under in three main program areas:
- providing high quality arts experiences for children and young people, primarily in disadvantaged communities
- working with the education sector to embed creativity in schools
- supporting early career artists through funding and professional development to further their practice and develop their craft
In support of our work with early-career artists (aged 26 or under) in the visual arts sector, we have an annual EOI Call Out for 2+ Artists & a Curator in Residence. Since 2012, Carclew has provided opportunities for 9 emerging curators and 17 young and emerging artists through the Program, offering 2 loft studio spaces and 12 months of curatorial exhibition opportunities in the Foyer and Ballroom spaces at Carclew.
In order to deliver our many programs we also invite proposals from early-career and established artists looking to work with South Australian young people through the various arts programs we facilitate.
Below you will find links to jotform applications for each program. These links include Application Packs that you can read through to familiarise yourself with the program and understand the application process, prior to completing the application form. We invite you to apply for as many or as few of these programs as you like.
Completing the online forms below is our preferred submission method, however soft copies of completed applications and support material can be submitted via email to the Arts Programs Team.
Alternatively, hard copies of completed applications and support material may be sent to:

For those of you who have a previous connection with Carclew, you may also be interested in joining our Carclew alumni Facebook group. Alumni refers to any artist who has been connected with Carclew through funding, scholarships/fellowships, professional development, workshops, mentorships, traineeships etc. The group has been set up so that we can stay in touch with alumni, hear about your career developments and provide information about EOI opportunities such as those listed here.
You can join the Carclew alumni Facebook group here.
And please feel free to spread the word!
