For many years Carclew offered a handful of art-form specific scholarships annually. Whilst prestigious, the limited number available meant that some people were missing out. As a result, these scholarships evolved into the new Fellowships Program.

Previously, the Scholarship program was divided into four artform areas each with a $12,500 allocation to be used for professional development for young artists aged 26 years or under.

Dame Ruby Litchfield Scholarship for Performing Arts
Acting, dance, direction, choreography, circus, performance, music.

Ruth Tuck Scholarship for Visual Arts

Colin Thiele Scholarship for Creative Writing

Carclew Scholarship for Film and New Media
