Bob and Kalyna were awarded the 2005 Education and Arts Ministers’ Award for excellence in working in South Australian DECD schools with students and teachers. Together they have helped many schools win Awards including four Australia Day Best Community Events, Mt Isa Madis Gras Parade, Port Adelaide Enfield Twilight Parade and Adelaide Australia Day Parade Awards.
Bob and Kalyna continue to initiate and work energetically on all sorts of arts activities inspiring young people’s involvement in festivals, events and projects wherever they go.
Bob and Kalyna’s creative approach to working with schools has been exemplary. Their ability to engender trust and candour along with the capacity to establish original themes has enabled many schools and communities to find their creative voice.
Bob and Kalyna have brought cultural activities to schools and communities across the state and around the nation with an exciting collection of community and cultural development endeavours for over 30 years. They encourage communities, from outside the school to actively participate on projects.
