DevFest is a curated week-long hothouse intensive for young artists (aged 18 to 26) from various disciplines to develop new and experimental artistic work.
Developed by one of Carclew’s Emerging Creative Producers, Caitlin Ellen Moore, DevFest is an opportunity for artists to test how they can work in different ways, collaborate with other young artists and receive critical feedback.
Participants will have access to a Creative Producer, resources, and one-on-one mentoring with professional artists. A fee will be provided to attend the week-long intensive workshop.
Responding to a theme or prompt, DevFest will provide artists time to focus solely on project development, creating a work in progress: from conception through to production. The residency will enable young emerging artists an opportunity to explore and play without any creative rules or structured guidelines.
Devfest is looking for artists at the early stage of exploring new work, not only in form, but also strong in interesting real-world experiences and perspectives.
