Giving circle

Without investment in the artists of today, there is no arts industry tomorrow.

Carclew’s annual Giving Circle program, supports our funding programs for early career artists.

Carclew’s funding programs have supported some of South Australia’s most talented independent artists for over 30 years. Fellowships support self-designed, bespoke programs of professional development eg. summer schools, mentorships or residencies, and Project & Development grants support the creation of original new work.

In addition to our grants programs, Carclew staff provide one-on-one coaching to support young artists to develop and articulate their projects, build project management skills and extend their industry networks.

Over recent years, we have seen a steep increase in need and demand for our grants programs, with the average success rate for young artists reducing from 1 in 4 to an average of 1 in 6. In every round we’re seeing several projects classified as “unfunded excellence” unable to be supported. This has been exacerbated by the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 with incomes diminishing, livelihoods imperilled, and careers stalled.

With your assistance, Carclew can provide the critical support young South Australians need to revive their creative ambitions post the COVID-19 catastrophe.

Carclew is a not-for-profit organisation with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status. 100% of your Giving Circle donation is tax deductible.
