Holiday Bands
Holiday Bands is for young people who want to meet new people and write, jam and perform music. It’s the front door to the Adelaide Music Scene where participants will join a band on Monday, and play a gig in a venue on Thursday. During the week band members will:
- write new music with guidance from young people already active in the local and national music industries in Carclew jam rooms
- attend workshops about booking gigs, making merch and being a part of the scene
- do a demo recording of your original work in Carclew’s Stables Studio
- play a live gig for family and friends on the final night at killer Adelaide venue Jive!
The Holiday Bands program is running the following week at the spectacular The Northern Sound System (NSS), and Carclew Holiday Bands have been invited to play at NSS the following Friday the 18th of July. That means two gigs in two weeks! And heaps more new band friends. Hectic.
