Carclew Song Sessions is a chance for emerging Adelaide song writers to experience a high–quality writing and production process with Industry professionals. Working with song writer Alex Hosking and award-winning producer Mario Spate, participating artists will create new work at Danger Deer Studios exposing them processes used by contemporary song writers.
Who is eligible for this project:
Eligible artists are 18 – 30 with song writing experience. Preference is given to artists from marginalised communities.
What’s the application process?
You can apply by filling out the online application form.
This form asks for basic personal details and experience with music. You will also be asked to provide a recording of two original songs, these can be made on a phone/low quality recording. If you have any questions during your application please reach out to us, Carclew is very happy to help!
Once applications close, a panel of industry professionals and Carclew project staff will select 6 artists to work with. All applicants will be notified of the outcome whether they were successful or not.
What is the cost of the program?
Successful artists don’t need to pay for this experience, it is fully subsidised by Carclew.
What’s the project Timeline?
Applications are open until Wednesday December 11th. Studio sessions will happen in January and February 2025.
